Will Prince Art is a product of the Hip Hop Blog Era. Born and raised in Carlisle, a cathedral city in Cumbria, England. Will showed a talent for drawing from an early age and was often motivated by his teachers. It became as essential as food and water; it was his escape. His work transitioned from childhood doodles of his favourite cartoon characters and from his own imagination into portraits of his favourite rappers. They were his new Superheroes. Will was subconsciously inspired by the Pop Art Era: Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Keith Haring etc. and the likes of KAWS and Takashi Murukami thanks to Pharrell Williams and Kanye West. Will forged his own lane by focusing on Hip Hop culture as the subject of his work and combining his unique style of hand drawing with digital art. Through the magic of the internet and thanks to Mike Waxx of illroots.com; Will's artwork found it's way accross the pond and caught the attention of the many rappers who were featured on the said website. His work has been recognised by the likes of Kim Kardashian, Kid Cudi and Rick Ross. He has exhibited his work in America and London; worked with rappers such as Travis Scott, Chance The Rapper and Action Bronson; worked with brands such as Puma and been interviewed by MTV and Complex Magazine.
